Naturally, Sarcasm Won.

In fall 2023, my youngest son was a high school senior and empty nest life was approaching. I had two choices: take up competitive knitting or finally unleash the decades of sarcasm I’d been bottling up while raising three sons.

So did stickers.I’ve lived in Oregon since 1993, but my resume looks like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book. I’ve worked in the bicycle and material handling industries, traveled extensively, and even ran my own floral design business. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, but these days, my most important credentials come from the daily miles I clock walking three dogs in the state park across from my house.

Meet the Team (The Real Ones)

We have three dogs, and the power dynamic is... complicated.

  • Apollo: A rescue pit mix with a heart of gold and the face that launched the brand. He is the muse in the Sly Dawg Studio logo, reminding us that "Bully Breeds" are actually just giant, velvet sofas with legs. Apollo identifies as human, so he rarely lowers himself to participate in canine antics.
  • Oscar: A doodle who is a confirmed narcissist and runs the show with an iron paw.
  • Snoop: A doodle and the sweetest dog you’ve ever met, but a total brown-noser. This does not earn him any points with Oscar.

Sly Dawg Studio isn't a giant, faceless warehouse. It’s me, a commercial heat press, and a mountain of ideas inside my barn-turned-studio in Oregon.

I believe humor isn't just a punchline; it’s a lifestyle. Whether it’s funny dog trucker hats, sarcastic magnets, or breed-specific stickers, everything I make is a creative outlet designed to make you laugh (or at least smile). I’ve visited 49 states (holding out on Alaska until I can stay a month) and 20+ countries, and the one universal truth I’ve found? People everywhere just want to talk about their dogs.
